Have fun! The Railroad Tycoon series has given me some of the most satisfying gaming experiences I've ever had. The trick is to pull the train off somewhere reasonably close that you can afford to lose 10-20% coverage off. That way you're not wasting money on train maintenance, and you're not leaving passengers standing. Similarly, if a run isn't making any money, sell a train and make one of the others go to the smaller towns once every 2nd or 3rd run. It's a little more complicated to set up, but it works. I would have Paris -> Brussels -> Paris -> Lille -> Brussels -> Paris. Instead of Paris -> Lille -> Brussels -> Lille -> Paris

My real weakness, I think, is the fine points of setting up rail routes.
